Author of The Cursed Brain:  
A Devotional For Young Adults To Face The Effects Of The Curse Through Hope From God

Tiffany Jones is a Greenville, SC native. Raised in a Christian culture that shamed mental illness, she fought to understand what God’s Word had to say about her struggles. Tiffany battled depression from adolescence into adulthood. Unfortunately, looking to her community for help only brought more shame. Her upbringing led her to believe that she wasn’t a good enough Christian, and that is why she was never free from her burden.  

When years of practicing their solutions were not working, she began looking for other possible answers. There had to be hope of something better. That led to a pivotal moment in her healing journey: naming her true enemy in 2015. 

Naming that enemy was possible because of 3 major influences. 1. Seeking Professional Help for Mental Illness                           2. Taking better care of the physical body                                     3. Community- specifically Christian Community

Living through childhood depression impacts your ability to believe that change is possible. However, you are not too broken to heal. Tiffany hopes to encourage others by sharing the impact of caring for your mental, physical, and spiritual health. 

 


 

Tiffany married Jonathon in 2011, and they have been blessed with three children. Through years of grief and struggles, Jonathon has consistently supported and provided for his family. Tiffany and Jonathon are extremely proud of each of their children for their hard work in school and more importantly, their eagerness to learn from God’s Word. Tiffany has served in the church in many capacities throughout her life, but has been honored to work with middle school and high school students since 2018.

1 Peter 5:7 cast all our cares on God BECAUSE He cares for us.

will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, 

how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!”

 

Psalm 42:11 Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! 

I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!

 

Ephesians 1:4-7a “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and 

blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, 

in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace,

 which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, 

the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us.”

 

Philippians 4:6-8 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, 

with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends 

all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, 

whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent 

or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

 

Ephesians 2:4;10 because of His great love with which He loves me… For we are God’s masterpiece. 

He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

 

Psalm 31:19-20, 23-24 How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. 

You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. 

You hide them in the shelter of your presence, safe from those who conspire against them. 

You shelter them in your presence, far from accusing tongues. Love the Lord, all you godly ones! 

For the Lord protects those who are loyal to him, but he harshly punishes the arrogant. 

So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord!

 

Psalm 37:7 Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him;

 

Matthew 6:25 & 34 For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, 

as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. 

Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? So do not worry about tomorrow; 

for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

 

Mark 13:11 When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, 

but say whatever is given you in that hour; for it is not you who speak, but it is the Holy Spirit.
